Well, Ottawa has finally thawed out and spring is in full force. In a matter of a couple of weeks, green grass has popped up, trees have nice big leaves, flowers are blooming, etc. It’s like the city has woken up from hibernation and it’s wonderful. It’s amazing how many people and dogs there seem to be in the city now.
Of course, this has also resulted in a similar uptick in work events. It seems like everyone’s trying to schedule their events in the window between when the snow melts and when everyone starts going away for summer vacations. So, things at work have been pretty busy with lots of meetings, a couple of visitors, some random events, etc.
It’s also the beginning of the summer transfer season, where FS members rotate between posts. We’ve already lost a couple of people from our office and will lose a couple more before the summer is up. Then, of course, there will be new people and there’s the question of how it will be to work with them. Will they be nice? Funny? Rude? Quiet? Loud? and so on. So, one way or another, our office will probably have a very different dynamic come this fall after all of the rotations.
So, that’s what’s going on here. It’s been a busy few weeks and will probably be busy for a bit longer before things slow down when people start to go on summer vacations.
